The title track of Building And Wrecking features guitarist Thomas Laufenburg of Arizona bands The Pistoleros and Ghetto Cowgirl. The lyrics suggest a relationship that has seen its ups and downs, inspired by the music of defunct Boston band Knots and Crosses. The album begins with the anthemic "Arizona Falls", but ends with the narrator giving up: I'm getting tired of the building and wrecking we do".
